i stayed with ryan and sundi while my mom started out at colin and brittany’s. we met up on day 2 at colin’s house so the cousins could play, play, play. and they did not dissapoint. so fun to see the interaction between the boys and the girls. so far- girls are really proving to be much more loud and emotional than little boys. i love to sit and watch the differences between the 6 grand kids.

and then it was time for the girls 2nd birthday party! and we had so much fun. it was a kids dream! and i can’t believe i’m saying this because i am the queen of decorating and details.. but it was probably my most favorite little people’s party ever and there wasn’t a single decoration. nope- not a single one. ryan and sundi kept it simple and i was so impressed with the simplicity of it.. and it kind of really made me realize how sometimes all those extras we strive for- are really just for ourselves, because these 2 years olds weren’t missing a single banner or balloon.

at the end of the party, my mom wanted some quick pics of her and her grand-babies.. and so did sundi’s mom. it was very impromptu- as in we kind of threw the kids on the grandparent’s laps and then all the parents did their best to get their kids to smile. sometimes it worked.. sometimes it didn’t. but i’m such a sucker for the ones where maybe one kid is freaking out. i think it’s so cute.

and on our last day- we just hung out all day on ryan’s grass. cali and delaney got awful colds so ryan, my mom and i ran a few errands with just jocelyn. to say she was delighted to be the center of attention is an understatement. so cute to see her be a single.. if only for a few hours. i put her in a little dress and put her hair in piggies and i just wanted to eat her up. then she turned into a pumpkin when we got home- and put on her sweats and joined her sisters on the back lawn for some play time
