Jocelyn K Brown Photography bio picture

about me

if you have landed here... lucky me & thank you! i'm a natural light photographer, trying my best to capture the real you. not the 'one, two, three, say cheese! you'. this is a place where i upload some of my favorites from my sessions & of lately, my baby Luke is getting a lot of face time here as well:)

my name is jocelyn. i'm a redhead. i'm creative. i'm spontaneous. i'm a seattle, washington girl (born & raised) and haven't moved but one minute from the house i grew up in. you could say i'm deeply rooted! enjoy!

our snaps {arizona family time}

i stayed with ryan and sundi while my mom started out at colin and brittany’s. we met up on day 2 at colin’s house so the cousins could play, play, play. and they did not dissapoint. so fun to see the interaction between the boys and the girls. so far- girls are really proving to be much more loud and emotional than little boys. i love to sit and watch the differences between the 6 grand kids.

and then it was time for the girls 2nd birthday party! and we had so much fun. it was a kids dream! and i can’t believe i’m saying this because i am the queen of decorating and details.. but it was probably my most favorite little people’s party ever and there wasn’t a single decoration. nope- not a single one. ryan and sundi kept it simple and i was so impressed with the simplicity of it.. and it kind of really made me realize how sometimes all those extras we strive for- are really just for ourselves, because these 2 years olds weren’t missing a single banner or balloon.

at the end of the party, my mom wanted some quick pics of her and her grand-babies.. and so did sundi’s mom. it was very impromptu- as in we kind of threw the kids on the grandparent’s laps and then all the parents did their best to get their kids to smile. sometimes it worked.. sometimes it didn’t. but i’m such a sucker for the ones where maybe one kid is freaking out. i think it’s so cute.

and on our last day- we just hung out all day on ryan’s grass. cali and delaney got awful colds so ryan, my mom and i ran a few errands with just jocelyn. to say she was delighted to be the center of attention is an understatement. so cute to see her be a single.. if only for a few hours. i put her in a little dress and put her hair in piggies and i just wanted to eat her up. then she turned into a pumpkin when we got home- and put on her sweats and joined her sisters on the back lawn for some play time

March 24, 2010 - 9:37 am Marnae - I have been waiting for these.... Love them!

March 24, 2010 - 10:41 am meg - How fun...I kind of feel like I was there. All these kiddos are getting such little personalities and are so darn cute. Love the girls and their little piggies, love how much Dylan looks like Justin. Love all the chaos. And love, love, love the grandfolks and grandbabes. And of course, love your SP's with your bros. Each one was perfect...Ryan doing exactly what you tell him and Colin looking at you like you're crazy. Oh and one last thing...there is nothing wrong with banners and balloons. Just saying;).

March 24, 2010 - 10:45 am Jocelyn - oh megan! i knew YOU would say something about the no banners and balloons! don't get me wrong... i probably couldn't do it, but appreciate those that can. obviously probably not you or myself:)

March 24, 2010 - 10:52 am sundi - Those were fun. Thanks for always capturing memories for us.:)

March 24, 2010 - 2:25 pm Alicia - Love all of the snaps! Really shows how each little one is changing and shows their personalities! Love the grandparent shots. Especially the Keller's...had me laughing! Thanks for sharing. Our house wishes we lived next door to the tripps so this is kind of like we do!

March 24, 2010 - 9:05 pm Heidi - What a darling and cute family. Those little girls are edible. Wish I could meet them and love you have a secret (or not so secret) love affair with your namesake - that will be special to her.

March 24, 2010 - 9:57 pm Gina - I have to admit I got a little teary eyed seeing these... maybe I'm just emotional. All the smiles are contagious. I could just feel the love that your family shares. Kinda makes me want to change my last name to Brown! You captured some great moments...

March 24, 2010 - 9:58 pm Gina - p.s. I want to eat Jocelyn (junior) up...!

March 29, 2010 - 8:09 pm Jocelyn - i know josie jr. does look edible.. and she is, but i have to say.. that her little sisters have completely won me over. cali was my pal this trip. so teeny and sweet. and then delaney's smile and grin? awesome.
