there are days where things go perfectly. absolutely flawless. and emotions are free and love is overflowing. abundant and full. there are days when the sky is bluer than we’ve seen in some time & a simple little farm is the most gracious host. and there are days where you are in the place where you are meant to be. the place where you’ve been headed for quite some time. 7.24 was this kind of day. an epic day. meghan and zeb were married beneath a willow tree while their closest friends and family were witnesses to their union.
p.s. thank you meghan for sending me an email many many months ago wondering if (even though i said i didn’t do weddings) if i might be interested. you opened my eyes. thank you.
i’ve always thought meg was gorgeous. i love her unusual eye color- her dimples and she has a body all us girls would die over. but on her wedding day, she surpassed anything i’ve ever thought of her. she looked absolutely stunning
i died over her shoes. that bright pop of color? amazing. and i loved the contrast of her fancy(ish) shoe with my old wooden chair.
the first look took place under a 100+ old willow tree on the farm. its branches were like welcoming arms. and once under the canopy of the tree.. something magical really happened. it was the perfect place for meg and zeb’s first look. it couldn’t have been anywhere else.

i remember when i got married.. i knew i did not want just a row of us girls holding our bouquets and smiling for the camera & i hoped meg felt the same way. once i knew the girls were wearing boots.. i knew i wanted a shot of them on some sort of fence and lucky us! there was the most perfect fence. i really love the way the bridal party shots came out. we did em fast but had so much fun and managed to only have one real ‘traditional’ shot.
i told the boys ‘ok, lets do a jumping shot’. i’d say all but 1 was happy about that. i love zeb’s face and the two guys on the outside? sweeeeet. look at those kicks. that’s what i’m talking about. i showed the girls the boys jumping shots and that’s how their’s came to be. they said ‘we want a jumping shot!’

you know, every wedding is so different because everyone’s emotions are different. i LOVED that meghan and zeb were giddy and excited. NOT nervous. just so damn happy to have this day. that’s something i’ll remember big time about their wedding. this shot of meg’s face as she is first seeing her crowd… spells the whole day out i think.
i love the look on megan’s face. the way she’s looking up at zeb. it is full of total and complete love.

i could gush all day over meghan’s meemaw. she’s gorgeous. and the connection these two shared was a site to behold. so lucky.
before things really got going at the hoedown, zeb took a few minutes to say a prayer. and i think you can see by both their expressions how thankful and truly blessed they feel. pretty sweet.

once the sun slipped away, all the lights became center stage and created such a perfect setting. i love dancing under the lights with the barn as a backdrop!
