oh man. her big blue eyes suck me in each time. i shot anna’s 6 month picture this morning and couldn’t be happier with the new camera. i promise- this is the last time i’ll mention it (that might be a big fat lie). i couldn’t resist these of her. so many cute ones to choose from. more coming real soon.

just a really magical shoot- amazing lighting, amazing humans, amazing clothes. meghan i have kind of talked about what we thought her engagement session should look and feel like- and basically we mutually knew it should look and feel like her wedding will and from there it was easy. we needed perfect afternoon light, cowgirl boots, handsome coaster boy, perfect ari, bangles for days, lip gloss, ruffles, maybe a quilt, maybe a bench…. maybe we found the perfect location off the side of the road in a ditch, and maybe we got to bid the sun goodbye after a glorious day (my mom always says it’s a glorious day and now i see i do too:) and all the meanwhile, i just got to sit back and watch this family of three just be. and i loved every single thing i witnessed. i loved that they loved eachother. love is probably the best accessory one can wear.

yes, it’s decidedly so.

i really didn’t think this shoot was gonna happen. it was just so drizzly. but it did and it’s one of my favorites. prior to meeting a family on the day of the shoot, i really never know what to expect. we trade emails and i try to get an idea and so far, i am beyond pleasantly surprised. they chose the location- and i think it’s so seattle. i love their bright colors against the pale sky and seeing the seattle skyline beyond them- i just love it. this the first shoot i think that i’ve only posted color, but i think the colors are insane. love the way they pop. such a cute family.. with a soon to be brother on the way. enjoy!

calendar love (DIY project)

i did this this afternoon- it took about an hour. so easy. i happened to have 8×10 cardstock….and it was easier than i thought to come up fun stuff that reminds me of bennett and me. tomorrow i’ll hole punch the top and get a hook for it. you probably don’t know this about me, but i have kept my yearly calendar’s for 5 years now (started the year before i met bennett) and i actually write all over my calendars. i’m excited for this to become a keepsake. i love looking through years past to see what i was doing.. what i was scheduling.. what i mentioned about the weather on certain days.

i think i’m going to frame the ‘i love you a bushel and a peck’ one into a matted 8×10. *would look really cute in a nursery (again- not suggesting anything)…. but bennett always sings this song and i love it.

8 pictures since today is the 8th of february. i hope you don’t mind coonhound brown 8 different times. maybe a bit redundant? i kind of agree, but i loved the light. really loved the light. if i could photograph anything a million ways.. it would be in this hazey afternoon light. it is my FAVORITE. i didn’t touch these photos. SOC (straight out of camera). rebel got a new ID tag thanks to my dad. saturday at the dog park- maybe both rebel and tucker were lost and maybe my heart was racing faster than it ever has… well, not ever but faster than it has in a very long time. especially when i realized our dogs don’t have name tags (how dumb is that?). if your pooch doesn’t have one… you really should get one. once we were done with the dog park.. my dad took us straight to petco to get the pups some ID.

p.s. did you see the last picture of rebel shaking? and all that hair/dust flying off of him? kind of amazing & kind of gross.
